After you have developed the ability to induce lucid dreams, you will be looking on how to develop control of them and increase the length and realism of them. You will eventually start to develop your own little methods and preffered ways of doing this, but until then here are some tips.
As you are probably aware if you have read other sections of the website, you have more control over dreamworld the higher to level of lucidity you are at
So you should start your dream off by increasing your lucidity. There are a few techniques you can use to do this/ Do some more reality checks, rub your hand together, try spinning around. Try using a voice command, shouting out at the top of your voice ‘increase lucidity’ these are all things you can try to raise your level. It seems though that some days you reach higher levels of lucidity than others. You could enter a dream an very low levels or very high levels. It is not known why this happens, but it does get better with practice.
Once you have increased your lucidity, the dream world will have stabalised and you will be free do go about doing whatever you want. Every now and again though you should look around your environment and remember its a dream. Punch your hand through the wall or pull and ice cream out of your pocket to confirm it.
You may have some issues at times with vision, your dream may be very blurry or really dark. If this is the case, try spinning around and imagine that when you stop you will be at a destination of your choice and it will be really clear and vivid. Or you could try using voice commands again, shouting out as loud as you can and with intent ‘clear vision’ or increase clarity’ whatever command you think is suitable.
If you are having trouble summoning objects out of this air, start off slow. If you want an ice cream, don’t imagine seeing one appear in your hand. imagine pulling it out of your pocket.
Remember if you are wanting to practice summoning or flying techniques in dreams, don’t get too obsessed and occupied with it, or you might lose control of the dream and lose lucidity. Make sure you are constantly looking around and exploring the environment and questioning things like, how did i get here. Try using all of your sences. Eat something, smell something, touch stuff. does it look and feel like the real thing? You will beg surprised at the detail your mind can create.
